Let me tell you all a little funny story from my life related to rain code... and viviakou
When I started playing chapter 4, my little brother became very interested in how I played the game and what was happening there. He often sat next to me and watched me playing, and I translated the text for him since he doesn’t know English well. He wasn't always present when I played, so I always told him what events he missed, and I liked that he was really into it and really interested in the case of chapter 4
So, then I went through the Mystery Labyrinth of chapter 4 on my own. I wanted to go through this labyrinth alone because... it's quite an important thing for me (and because I didn't want anyone to see me crying over THAT scene). And the next day I told my brother briefly everything that had happened in the labyrinth. He was shocked to find out who the culprit was
However, the most unexpected thing happened when I spoke about why Vivia threatened Yuma and didn’t want to solve the case. I only said that many of Vivia's actions were done because he wanted to hide Yakou's crime and save him, and then my brother said, "I get it. Vivia really likes the Chief"
At that moment, I almost choked on the water I was drinking then
I really didn’t expect such an answer from him for many reasons, one of which is that we live in a very homophobic environment. Besides, I didn’t hint to him about viviakou in any way. So the fact that he came to such a conclusion was surprising to me
Last night I went through the Mystery Labyrinth of ch 4 in one gulp. These scenes, especially when we learn the whole truth, still make my heart ache
However, at the end of the labyrinth, I was once again convinced for myself that Vivia is a very important character for me and for what reasons
That was a really bittersweet feeling for me...
