Y/N was lost in her own world, admiring the whimsical weather, while Theo admired her instead every chance he got. Between weathered pages and the scent of rain, they fell in love gently and quietly, never knowing what the other truly felt.

Hogwarts always feels like home, but the library feels nostalgic. The smell of dusty books lingered in every corner, while fresh parchment lay neatly on the tables, waiting to be used. The stillness invited peace—something almost ethereal.
You always found solace inside this place after the rain. Especially after the rain. There was something sacred about water dripping from the clouds, as if they were whispering secrets with tenderness and gossiping with the earth.
The fascinating thing about weather wasn't that it was captivating, but that it let you exist as the background character while it became the main character. Funny, isn't it?
How you seemed so busy wondering how weather
worked, meanwhile Theo had been staring at you for twelve minutes and ten seconds.
Not that he was counting.
As if you were the only person in the library, oblivious to his staring—or should I say, admiring?
You kept your attention on the rain beyond the window. The clouds burst open, making you smile before you scribbled something onto a piece of parchment. Meanwhile, Theo, sitting just one table behind you, tried to peek at what you were writing but failed miserably, nearly falling off his chair and earning a sharp glare from Madam Pince.
He offered her an apologetic smile before sighing, still wondering what you had written.
It wasn't unusual for you to spend time alone. In fact, you often sat quietly with your journal and your thoughts, admiring nature with a twinkle in your eyes and a bright smile that almost had Theo drooling.
At least, that's what Pansy always teased him about.
It had been months since you helped him that day.
Theo still wasn't sure whether he'd fallen because of your kindness—or your smile.
Your trance finally broke when you noticed that every student had already left the library except you and Theo. Quietly, you packed your things and left, your expression as peaceful as ever.
On the other hand, Theo sighed, rubbing his temple.
Sometimes he wondered how something so simple could be this difficult.
He was confident. Charming. He had spoken to plenty of girls before.
But whenever it came to you...
His traitorous heart refused to slow down.
He'd never admit it, but you made him nervous.
With another defeated sigh, he got up from his chair, already looking forward to your next meeting.
Your next quiet afternoon.
And him staring at you shamelessly from across the room.
Weeks passed, marked by one failed attempt after another. Theo kept trying to talk to you, while you continued filling your journal, completely oblivious to the poor boy's misery.
Even Mattheo offered to speak to you on Theo's behalf, but Theo's bruised pride wouldn't allow it.
The rain never seemed to stop.
Once again, it poured heavily.
You had come to Hogsmeade with your friends, but most of them had already left. Instead of following them, you lingered outside Honeydukes, sheltered just enough beneath its roof to stay dry while still letting a few raindrops land gently on your fingertips.
You smiled to yourself, admiring the delicate way water slipped from the leaves.
Theo hadn't planned on visiting Hogsmeade that day, but Mattheo insisted on buying another box of Chocolate Frogs.
"He literally eats them like an addict," Theo muttered under his breath, earning nothing more than a shrug from his best friend.
Despite his complaints, Theo could never say no to Mattheo.
"Merlin, you two are attached at the hip," Draco liked to complain.
The moment Theo noticed you standing there, completely lost in your own little world, his heart skipped a beat.
Mattheo followed his gaze before letting out a laugh.
"Merlin really wants you to talk to her today."
Theo ignored him completely.
His eyes remained fixed on you.
"Honestly, mate... it's exhausting watching you pine over her."
Instead, Mattheo gave him a playful shove.
Theo stumbled forward, catching himself just in time.
His first instinct wasn't to glare at Mattheo.
Warmth bloomed inside his chest.
Before he could stop himself, Theo rubbed the back of his neck and let out a nervous chuckle.
Theo cleared his throat and stood a little straighter than before, silently cursing himself for suddenly becoming so awkward.
You found it rather cute.
"Did you forget your umbrella again?" you asked.
"Uh... actually, no. On the contrary, I remembered to bring one today ."
Your smile widened, making Theo blush despite his best efforts to hide it.
"Funny, isn't it?" he chuckled.
Theo was practically screaming inside.
It was technically yours anyway.
Trying his best to sound casual, he smiled.
A brief silence settled between you.
"Guess you can come with me."
"Are you sure? I don't want to bother you."
"You helped me once. I'm only returning the favour."
And so the two of you walked back towards Hogwarts beneath one umbrella.
The path looked even more breathtaking after the rain. Moss clung to every tree you passed, while birds filled the air with melodies disguised as ordinary songs. The landscape stole your breath away.
Couldn't stop watching you.
The silence between you wasn't awkward.
As though the two of you had known each other far longer than you actually had.
Somehow, that made everything feel even more beautiful.
In a devastating sort of way.
"It makes my head quiet."
Theo nodded thoughtfully.
"I think there's something enchanting about nature."
You turned towards him as though seeing him for the very first time.
"It helps me process my thoughts."
Theo's expression softened.
"What is it that bothers you... pretty?"
You smiled, though this one carried a hint of sadness.
"Things affect me easily."
Something inside Theo ached.
He wanted to protect you.
To give you every gentle thing the world had forgotten to.
Soon, Hogwarts came into view.
Your walk together had come to an end.
Then you turned and walked away.
Before walking away, he wanted to stop you, ask you more about yourself, but didn't dare to do so. He looked at your retreating figure, then up at the sky, only to look back down and see your journal that had somehow fallen out of your bag.
He didn't mean to look at it and genuinely just wanted to close it since it was already open, but curiosity got the better of him.
He looked, only to find sentences that made him more nervous and happy at the same time.
"Today, he sat behind me. He pretends to read while I pretend not to notice him."
He sighed, closing his eyes. But what if it's for someone else?
"He's cute when he speaks nervously. I was scribbling while he was pretending not to look, catching glimpses of me."
And he couldn't stop reading.
"His grey irises hide behind a veil of eyelashes, but they have oceans. When I look at him, I want to explore their depth."
Theo immediately closed your journal. He couldn't take it. The girl he liked liked him back.
He wanted to scream and jump like a schoolgirl, but he did nothing like that. Instead, he ran towards you, shouting,
You were walking calmly when you noticed him. You were confused, but when you saw your journal in his hand, your face turned scarlet.
When Theo reached you, he was panting and out of breath from running. His heart was beating so fast, and you were no different.
Theo shook his head and hugged you.
And you both smiled, hugging each other in the corridor while clouds dripped outside.
