@bird-princess-official for u, pal
- every crow you see you fall a little in love with. they make you long for the sky. you are still waiting for the day when you will wake up with the power to shift and shrink and grow feathers and fly running through your veins. you keep hoping it will happen.
- your family lives in a green and verdant place; it rains often; you keep goats, and often wander in the forest. you feel the call of something deep in your soul, something wild and free and a little bit like magic. sometimes you wonder - if you got lost enough, could you find The Court?
- your younger sister is sharp and a little feral and still learning her place in this world; one of your brothers is handsome and graceful, the other skilled at the Art. all of your siblings seem to fit the heritage, but you feel out of place, not quite right. perhaps they do too, but you can’t know. perhaps no one with the heritage ever feels quite like they fit. this world wasn’t made for magic, after all.
- one day you meet them. the Young Court. they are sharp and odd and a little bit too beautiful, and you never expected to meet them here, in a church, these creatures of magic and myth, but here they are. after you leave, though you were unsure if you even enjoyed being there, you want to go back. you wonder what The Court proper must be like, if the Young Court was so dizzying. you wonder if you truly want to find out.
- you walk in the forest; you watch the crows. you keep waiting.
