Platonic soulmates
I genuinely feel like my best friend is my soulmate, the love of my life. And it’s not romantic in any way. I’ve never felt this way about anyone.
“Our souls enveloped,” is something she, my best friend, has said. It’s extremely true. I feel like our souls are intertwined. Whether you believe in souls or not, that’s how it feels.
You’re probably confused when I say that my best friend is the love of my life in a platonic way. I think you can only truly understand if you’ve felt this way before. It’s like there’s something beyond our understanding that’s bonded us together, and I don’t need to understand it. I just know what I feel.
I haven’t gotten to see her in person yet, but I think about it every day. I want to be able to wake up in her arms and get to take in everything about her because there’s so much time we’ve been together, but not in person. I’m aware that I sound clingy, but it’ll be hard to not hug her or have my arms around her when I’ve been wanting to simply see her in person for years.
This probably sounds like a crazy ramble, but there’s so much love in my heart and all of it is pouring out right now.
