Waiting for the rain
We are off to a slow start this morning. Things are still, and I like the calm.
The winds were blowing at about 30mph yesterday, so that when I mowed the backyard, half of the cuttings were blowing back in my face.
Check out how smooth my new mower cuts. The Robins came out as soon as I started cutting. 😂

The rain is coming
I feel it in my bones
Old like the creaking oaks
I sway with the wind
It pushed me along
While tugging at the grass
Clouds hurry overhead
traffic on a sky freeway
And the smell of precipitation
Hangs heavy in the air
I stop and let it in
Let the rain find me here
