i wrote this in my tags but honestly thanks so much for making that post about ELF who couldn't make it to kcon. i have felt like nobody cared abt or sympathized for ELF who didn't have the $ or permission to go, so thanks again for acknowledging us.

No problem! I made that post because I’m one of you. I’m still in school, so all my money goes to tuition and books, and it was a six hour flight for me from New York to LA, but with the expense of kcon, traveling, staying there, and then all the stuff I should actually be paying for, it didn’t matter if they were in my country, I knew there was no way I could go. And I know there were a lot of other people like me, and then all those people who were counting on Super Shows in this part of the world only to get them canceled abruptly… It sucks big time, and I’m glad we could all be there for each other.

something like hurt/comfort is probably what i mean when i say that, tbh. angst for the sake of being “gritty” or “real” is bullshit. but anything i write will be balanced out with fluff, that’s just the way i like things ^^

ahhh, no I was referencing the angst for nothing more than to be angst (which admittedly I also lump in ‘lolcommunication would have saved you this’ into it like because it gets handled so badly???)  not like h/c. h/c if there’s a purpose to it, then sure, but I’m like all the “gritty” “real” or having like every single chapter being nothing but balls to the wall angst (like sorry to say but there’s a reason I stopped reading running blind)

in regards to angst, it’s not the sadness (for me), it’s the resolution. kind of like reassurance that there’s a reason for pain. but i also refuse to read anything with a sad ending.

okay, I guess that makes some sense? lol but I feel you on needing the non-sad endings. cannot read anything else but a happy ending. like I can take the angst from a few people because they do it in a way where I don’t crash out for days on end (like kewltie and you and myechi and kara because you guys either private message me and warn me before I read or reassure me that things are gonna be okay) but I guess I don’t trust many people with angst.

it does... prolly my own fault too for not enough sleep which just makes the depression worse :\ plus stress from the semester coming to an end (3 weeks????? omfg) is probably not the most conducive to having a lot of ideas
