You thought I was done posting Rainbow Blizzard content? Aha—Not at all, I just had trouble thinking of a good post...

But thanks to rewatching one of the first ever anime I watched, I drew them as the supposed main couple from the show, with outfits from the first episode.

If you can’t tell, Chromastone is dressed as Tamaki, and Big Chill is dressed as Haruhi, when first seen in the show.

The first picture is with normal shading, and the second is done with turning the shading layer into a “multiply” layer.

As for story...

Good ol’ Rainbow Blizzard, with the calm, relaxed, chilled out Big Chill, and the timid, kind, and pacifist Chromastone.

Unless someone manages to get Chroma peeved. Then neither of the two are like themselves.

Yeah, I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it, but for a long time I would portray Chroma as a pacifist, and still do. In both of my typical AUs, he will fight, but goes more for stunning/preventing his enemy from being able to fight back rather than outright damage. Especially with humans. Those guys aren’t exactly likely to survive, or at least handle, getting blasted with literal ultraviolet energy. (There’s a reason we have an ozone layer kids.) He really only goes for genuine physical damage to enemies when it’s a more intense situation. The less people he can hurt the better. (But sometimes he’ll just drain their mana slowly from points of contact until they’re too tired to keep fighting.)

Anyways. Someone (who has a freakin squid face) managed to . . . upset Chroma. And being this specific someone is the only someone Chroma legit hates, he . . . is rather okay hurting him. (In the guardians au, Vilgax is responsible for his wrongful imprisonment in the mirror, and in the stupid high school au...dude freaking un-alived his dad, then mocked him from then on even after Chroma ((who in the au was only 14.5 at that point)) revived his planet and people)

—TL;DR: in both AUs Chroma has a reasonable grudge.

Thankfully Big Chill is there to stop his “good friend” (uwu) from ending a man’s whole career. (In more ways than one...)

Gijinka of Charoite!! My Rainbow Blizzard fusion (Chromastone and Big Chill).

Redesigned them bc their old gijinka look felt like it would’ve been too feminine looking or could have accusations of trying to appeal to /M/A/P/s which—ew. No.

Or more accurately, I was really into Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid at the time and based their design off of the cute gothic Lolita aesthetic (or I tried to and failed horribly).

Anyways. Here’s a more gender neutral look. Hair only goes to shoulders (excluding the small section that goes further down) bc their look is similar to a mix of my gijinka designs for Chromastone and Big Chill.

Had issues with the shading with my blue pencil because my sharpener sucks. Example: Their second wing almost looking invisble even though it’s just folded. Though now, looking back, it would help if I took my white pen and outlined it.

Anyways. Tada.

An Autumn Night’s Walk

Wow. That’s an actually good title to a drawing. That’s new. Normally I do joke names.

Anyways. I got a stylus today (well, five, my only option was a pack set), and I finished this piece.

Have I ever mentioned how much I love Rainbow Blizzard?

Big Chill and Chromastone together, it’s nice. Homoromantic Asexual representation. And it lowkey boosts my AUs. (Heckin heck, I even have stories on FanFiction.Net for these AUs, and a whole other one. Btw, my FanFiction.Net is “blackrockscoota” if you ever wanna read some 👌garbage.)

Anyways. Their gijinka forms are fun to work with, and it was nice to be able to digitally color/draw my gijinka form for Big Chill again.

I had another freak out about Chroma’s color. It’s purple. But like. It looked like an indigo color—this dude confuses me. On the app I wanted to make sure I got it right, so I did took a color sample from a pic of him in basic daylight colors, and it was purple on there. I mean even then, it’s weird, cause if you look closely, he’s technically multiple shades of a given color, but not harshly so. Just like. Rock and it’s not all one solid color. (Technically speaking silicon rock but :p)

I didn’t make the hearts/sparkly opaque background, that’s from the program (ibisPaintpro), it just gave the effect I wanted. Did the actual background myself, but heavily blurred and smudged it so that my babs would be the main focus.
