Rainbow Generation: Caitlin
-Who are you?
I’m Caitlin, I’m 23 and I’m a student and animal rights activist.
-How do you identify?
I identify as pansexual.
-How do you think it is being LGBT in this time and place?
I think it’s interesting being part of the LGBTQ community in this time because I think there is like a perception that all forms of sexuality and gender are accepted in this day and age but I don’t think it’s true. Even within the community there is a lot of discrimination and I personally experience a lot of people not taking my sexuality seriously (particularly if I end up in a relationship with a man). Hmm… I want to say that I think everyone should be more open about their sexual identity, in the way of expressing it but also being open to truly discovering who you really are even if other people don’t fully understand it.
Rainbow Generation is a Photo interview project looking at this lgbt generation’s lives in the modern world. Find the project Rainbow Generation also on the fb page Jessica Secmezsoy-Urquhart or at Sibylvane on Flickr.
