Prismatic and Rainbow Vices
A little thing I drew for @pushingcl0vers after I discovered we have similar AU’s involving Max’s vices: The Prismatic AU and The Seven Deadly Vices AU. So I decided to draw how the four Vices of each AU would react to each other (since the Canon vices I think remain the same?).
It was just so interesting seeing how similar yet different the vices are in terms of color, body placement, etc. I’ll start from top left again:
Pride- Oddly enough, coincidently both our versions take Max’s left foot. I currently have no idea of my Prideful Max so far except that he briefly hangs out with Slothful Max and one thought was taking over the moon. But seeing that the other Pride is in the White House, Prideful is like “Wait, why haven’t I thought of that?” I’d imagine the two walking and talking, most likely acting as the cool important people while basking in their pride (and secretly wanting to out-perform the other in a “friendly” rivalry).
Greed- I like that their version of Greed is with the other hand and how he stays close to Sam to steal from him while I went with a smooth con-artist/teeth theme for mine. Well, at first I’d figure that the two Greed’s would try to steal from each other and con themselves, but then I remembered that Greedy Max grows in height when he starts to have a collection. Cue both Greed vices joining forces to wreck havoc on the suckers I mean city folk and take anything they want. Hopefully Greedy Max won’t put the other one in his inventory!
Lust- Huh... similar colors and complimentary ears. I’m still figuring out my version of Lust because I want to keep the flirty/a bit provocative side of Max while also making him more than just a gag or one-sided. While he is flirty and open, I also have him like dressing up and dancing. He likes big dresses and gowns especially and he’s also like a siren of sorts? In that he can sing and compels others to dance and give into their desires. I think Lustful Max would love to show his dress off to the other and the two become friends.
Envy-
“... It’s like I am the only sane one in this group...”
“Exactly! What is up with that?!”
Like the Greeds, the Jealous Maxes are different entirely in terms of color and body part. Envy takes the other ear while Pumpkin takes one of Max’s eyes. At first, I thought they were going to be jealous of each other, but then I remembered Pumpkin being the one closest to Max based on personality and the “sane” one as he puts it, so I could imagine the two Jealous Maxes complaining about their respective counterparts. Pumpkin is also part pumpkin monster so I have him submerged in the ground with leaves around his waist.
And finally, we have Prismatic Max and Rainbow Max hanging out together with blankets. Probably both Sam’s were dimension traveling and decided to babysit the two or let them hang out since they been in similar situations. One key difference I saw was that while my Rainbow Max would enjoy/like his new form (at first), Prismatic Max does not. I could imagine the latter warning the other “it’s not worth it, you’ll regret it” while Rainbow is like quietly backing up in concern like “what happened?”
I hope this is okay and I tried with this. I’m more of a writer than an artist, but I really had fun with this.
