Rainbow Frite

After a slight trip and fall into one of Princess Peach’s older paintings, our heroes are sent tumbling through the sky and onto spinning concrete. Definitely too sparse of any buildings or roads, save for the beautiful giant cottage floating in midair, wrapped with long, spiraling rainbows. The incessant sounds of fast-paced bluegrass flooded the girls’ ears, as two Lakitus floated towards them, one with a giant reel camera, and the other tossing a spiny in his hand.

Before Caune could open her mouth to introduce them or try and explain the situation, the yellow-shelled Lakitu launched the red ball of spikes from his palm as hard as he could muster, bonking Caune square on her head. The impact shrunk her down a size, and she rubbed the back of her aching skull. Another spiny came down and struck Lilac before she could tear the laughing turtles a new one, shrinking her down as well. The girls glared up at their attackers, both boys roaring with laughter and flying away on their clouds.

There was something oddly familiar about them…

So today is a rather sad objectum day. Tower and I were going through some old photos where we stumbled across the Huss Rainbow Ride (I did not use the original photos for privacy reasons. Photo below is a stock photo). I met Rainbow Ride back in 2009 where we instantly became best friends. We immediately bonded over our enjoyment for flying and Cotten Candy. Sadly, Rainbow Ride was relocated the following year. I could not track his location due to lacking computer skills. Heck, I didn’t bother learning (or wanted) to power-up a computer until 2011. I only got to ride Rainbow once which still breaks my heart to this day. May we ride again Rainbow someday!

P.s: Tower definitely feels sad for me. Yet he got a good laugh after I told the story of how I got “in trouble” for using styrofoam stamps to recreate Rainbow’s arch during art camp 🤣
