All right, let’s take a look at a Tomato Sandwich and Flora Peace marriage.
Who’s the first to wake up in the morning:
Tomato. He’s used to waking up early.
Who’s the one to make breakfast:
Since Tommy’s awake, he might as well make some breakfast.
Who’s the one to serve the other breakfast in bed:
Usually it’s Tomato, but then there are days that Flora beats him to the punch.
Who would suggest a quickie in the morning before work:
Flora. Tomato’s usually too flustered to ask, even though they’re married.
Who suggests they both ditch work to lay around all day:
Flora sometimes suggests a ‘husband-wife spa day’ jokingly, to which Tomato replies that he worries that his co-manager will burn down the workplace.
Who initiates kissing during the movie, thus distracting the other from the movie all together:
They’re usually having too much fun poking fun at the show or singing along to a musical to think of it. It’s usually after it’s over that one feels like kissing the other.
Tomato. Being the gentlecolt, he usually pays.
Who steals food from the other’s plate without asking:
Neither. Flora’s just usually unable to finish and gives the rest to Tommy.
Who curls up next to the other and falls asleep due to a full tummy:
Flora. Tomato’s a bottomless pit, so he never does it.
Who distracts the other from trying to work at home:
Flora. She’s always reminding him to leave his work at work.
Who asks to go get ice cream like a five year old:
Strangely enough, it’s usually Tomato suggesting it. Flora’s happy to oblige.
Who takes pictures of their partner eating ice cream:
Flora. She wants to get a picture of him with a cone before he downs it in one bite. Like I said, Tommy’s a bottomless pit.
Who makes a sexual joke about the dripping ice cream on their partner’s face:
Neither. The sex talk is strictly for the bedroom.
They both can cook, but since Tomato’s more likely to work later than normal, Flora usually cooks dinner.
Who cleans up the kitchen afterwards:
Flora cleans it as well. Sometimes Tomato’s unlucky to come home just as she’s mopping... resulting in the classic slip-a-dee-doo-dah.
Who stays up until 2 reading:
Classic Tomato, having his nose in a book.
Who stares at their partner while their sleeping:
Tomato. He has no idea how he was blessed with his wonderful wife, but he’s going to drink in the glow of that strawberry-blonde beauty as much as he can.
Who kisses their partner while they sleep:
Tomato in the morning before Flora wakes up, and Flora when Tommy’s taking an afternoon nap.
