1 What OTPs in your fandom(s) do you just not get?*
I wouldn't say I don't "get" it but I'm not a fan of Katniss/Johanna but I think mostly it's because I ship everlark too much and I have my own hc about Johanna and sexuality and love so... Yeah. Same goes for Jo and Haymitch. I'm just not into that.
Aside from that the ships I reaaaaaally REAAALLY do not get (though everyone can ship what they want I just avoid them) are any combination of Katniss & Peeta with Effie & Haymitch and yes they exist I have seen them XD It's just noooot for me. To me Effie and Haymitch are considering them like their children and similarly the kids see them as parents and every time I see a Kat/Haymitch or Peeta/Effie (or Kat/Effie or Peeta/Haymitch) I'm a bit... on the not good. But you know to each their own.
I'm not sure what other fandoms I should do... But I will do my mains?
In stargate a ship I did not get was Jack and Daniel... It never made sense to me from a romance perspective but they do have a great bromance and there weren't that many gay ship at the time (stil isn't) that I can understand why we went there.
In HP, I guess the ship I don't like is Harry/Voldy but I say that and yet I knoooow somewheer there must be an awesome timetravel fic with this exact pairing that just naiiils it. It's the beauty of the hp fandom they have something for everything.
Also let's talk Shadow and Bones because why not and I do not I DO NOT understand the appeal of book Mal/alina. That's it. I said it XD They did a good job of making him more likeable in the show but in the books OMG.
Also Angel/Buffy is not my fav pairing. I kind of get it because I used to ship it but I feel like the older you get the less sense this ship makes. It was creepy. It was creepy from the start and Angel isn't a good guy really... I know Spike has his flaws obviously but their ship makes sooo much more sense and they completed it really well in the comics so yeah... The Angel/Buffy as endgame I am not on board of that ship at all.
8 Have you received anon hate? What about?*
Sure. I'm told that's what happens when you become "popular" in a fandom.
What was it about... mmm I've been called a bitch because I am many things but not a hypocrite and I call things as I see them. I mean I have no filter and no patience for bullshit, it's a problem XD Also I don't like passive aggressive.
Mostly, I honestly think it was about people being a bit jealous because at some point there were a few newish writers and they didn't get notes (although to be fair it was a fight to get people to interract back at that point) and there was this whole conspiracy that me and another popular writer were sending anons or something asking them for read more and to tag properly (because they were posting about liking pies or something in the tag and it was a messss)... And I mean getting anons was their own damn fault for not doing that in the first place. I remember I sent one or two polite asks (as me, not on anon) requesting they used read more particularly on coconuts and they didn't so I simply blocked them (which apparently made me a bitch who wasn't encouraging new writers but whatever). Then they got anons I guess and they came at me, saying me and that other writer thought we were queens of the fandom or whatever... I never engaged them past that point but there were a lot of passive aggressive posts being passed around to which I replied. Curiously they never tried again after that because I did not mince my words XD It's too bad for them because it wasn't me launching the war (and I don't have minions to do it for me) and they disappeared and I'm still here so...
Could I have handled that situation better? Probably. I don't care much for drama now so I probably would let it slide. I mean... There WAS a situation a few months ago where passive-aggressive was involved and I let slide because it wasn't worth the bother but back then I was young and I didn't like the slandering... Yeah, now I just don't get involved and block. I'm too old for that shit.
