I've been in a HG mood ever since the SOTR trailer came out and naturally that means re-reading all your fics, especially the HADS ones. I am OBSESSED with Brutus and Valeria, can't believe I never noticed them before. I know you're not in the fandom anymore, but do you have any headcanons about this pairing you never shared?

I think I’ve shared most of them… It’s a love story but not one that can have a happy ending unfortunately for them (and Brutus’ poor wife). But I think they get away with it more easily than hayffie, likely because they don’t deny it or have a conflictual public relationship. They get boring after a while and so nobody cares much beyond the scandal of him being married (and let’s face it the Capitol sees worse)

Do you think if (big fingers crossed) the SOTR movie and its epilogue give us more Hayffie (since movie canon is already different than the books), you’d feel inspired to come back to the ship? I’m asking because I didn’t feel much for the SOTR book either, but I rewatched the trilogy and the trailer gave me some silly hope.

Since I'm never watching that movie I don't think it will entice me, no ^^

Hiyaaa! i am such a big fan of your fics and i’ve just finished katniss the vampire slayer and i just have to ask if you would ever finish it off? I was in tears knowing it was over, your writing is incredible and it was one of the best fics i’ve read!!!

I still have the next one unpublished but I don’t really want to edit it at this time so I don’t know if and when it will come out. Never say never though.

do you think you will ever come back to the hayffie fandom? What is your opinion on haydove vs hayffie fandom war?

My opinion is that I am too old for ship wars and regarding ship wars in general my opinion has always been that everyone should be free to ship what they want. In peace. Everyone should stick to their own fandom space and not go poking bears in other ships’ spaces. My advice is to block.

Nevertheless, im team hayffie obviously. For the sole reason that since I don’t recognize sotr as my canon, it doesn’t bother me one bit. If people love Lenore and haymitch let them enjoy it. It doesn’t have to be one any consequence to you any more than the fact you ship hayffie should concern them. It’s fictional. It’s supposed to be fun.

As for returning, I don’t see myself coming back at this time no…

hiii. I read sotr a while back and oh my god it was so repetitive. he literally got nerfed into a simp for Lenore dove and seemed to mourn her more than his own mother. and people ate that up? Mourning someone with that much intensity from 16 to forty something is NOT normal

I have been reading your hayffie work since 2021, and as late as I was, I felt SO connected to the worlds you built. there’s a rise in hayffie fans and fics, so I was wondering if you could save us again with some works? since I remember you said the reason you stopped writing was lack of engagement.

I hope you have not lost your love for hayffie even if you don’t come back. Thought I would share some love and gratitude. Your fics are my home and they’ve been with me in the most pivotal points of life. I think sotr is locked in the same room as the cursed child in my mind 😂 A part of me thinks it’s a bit ironical how I always had Effie painting colors back into his grey when dove is usually associated with grey (at least in France like dove grey). So… yeah. To me there is nothing romantic about a 40 yo man waiting to die to be with his teenage years girlfriend. It’s just sad. The overall message is soooo bloody sad. In sotr there is no healing for haymitch and regardless of ships I hate that. It perpetuates the idea that you can have only one love in your life which is honestly such a stupid view. So let’s say you find the love of your life, you’re happy for a while, they die, you never get to heal from that? To allow yourself to move on? To be lucky enough to find someone else who can love you and whom you can love? It doesn’t mean forgetting or even loving more or less. It’s just a healthy way of living your life. But I digress xD

I still love hayffie and I never say never, as you know, but I don’t see myself retuning anytime soon unfortunately. Thank you for your kind words though ❤️

I know you left the fandom but just wanted to say that I love all of your hayffie fics, I think I started reading them in like 2017 and even though I'm not into HG anymore I still think about them regularly and go back to reread from time to time <3 You've written some of my favourite AUs across any fandom. I'm so thankful for everything you wrote for them, massive massive collective kudos
