walking up the stairs to her loft, number 467 - groceries in hand, a familiar scent met the air near diana’s face. it hurt to admit that the smell was still familiar after all this time, but nonetheless - she faced her left. ❝ oh, i- ❞ the words were meant as an apology, yet only the two syllables escaped her. could it really be him? or was she just very awkwardly mistaken?

                                           life  remains  one  of  a  shooting  star   ,   bright  and  fleeting   ,   lonely  heart  indulging  in  artificial  highs  to  combat  a  never - ending  low   ,   encased  organ  thrumming  to  vivacity  in  time  with  deafening  house  music    .   feet  shuffle  across  tiled  floor   ,   surrounded  by  inhabitants  of  another  college  party  that  she’d  found  her  way  into  through  means  of  connections   .   polished  fingertips  nurse  infamous  red  solo  cup   ,   optics  catching  sight  of  familiar  figure  that  has  her  floating  his  way   ,   needy  for  companionship   .   willowy  limbs  find  their  way  around  other’s  mid - section   ,   giggles  left  along  the  shell  of  his  ear  as  surprise  back - hug  commences   .   cup  sloshing  a  mix  of  various  inebriates   ,   any  and  all  alcohol  she  could  get  her  hands  on   .       ‘       what’cha  up  to  ?       ’       timbre  innocent   ,   circles  around  his  form  until  she’s  in  direct  line  of  sight   .       ‘       please  tell  me  you  have  any  kind  of  drug  on  you  right  now   .       ’

cece  doesn’t  say  anything  as  she  stomps  in ,   flinging  herself  onto  his  lap  and  curling  into  him .   mood  is  shit ,   tension  rolling  off  her  body  in  waves  and  for  the  first  time  in  a  really  long  time  all  she  wants  is  to  be  comforted .

‘  i  can’t  think  when  you’re  being  so  loud .  ’    kai  mutters  as  he  peers  around  the  side  of  the  building .   tongue  swipes  over  lips ,   heart  racing  frantically  but  he  ignores  how  heart  could  just  burst  right  now .    ‘  i  think  we  lost  ‘em .  ’    he  says  finally .   when  he  mentioned  getting  more  ambitious  with  their  affair ,   getting  caught  was  not  what  he  first  thought  of .   though  the  thrill  of  it  has  adrenaline  pumping  through  veins ,   it  made  him  feel  more  alive  than  anything  as  of  late .

roxanne  is  sitting  at  her  vanity ,   silk  robe  tied  loosely  around  her  figure  as  she  finishes  up  her  morning  skin  care  routine  and  make  up .   she  pushes  up  her  bullet  lipstick ,   carefully  applying  the  red  lipstick  to  plump ,   full  lips .   the  jerk  on  chains  at  headboard  as  her  turning  to  look  at  them ,   smile  on  her  face .    ‘  well  good  morning  sunshine .  ’
