Davy Jones (The Monkees), born 30th December 1945 (d 2012). RIP.
This is one of the better songs from a truly awful post-Monkees solo career, where reputedly Bell records forbade him from recording his own songs and picked some dire things like this for him to cover. This particular clip is from Roger Whittacker's TV show with an embarrassing introduction from the host and some wonderful examples of truly terrible 1970s British television. But then it's the 1970s so it still has its innocent charm.
