An alternative ending to the confrontation between White Lily and Dark Enchantress in episode 15.
Have you ever been so fed up with an ending you decided to write your own?
I know this ending is corny af, but this is also a game about animated talking cookies. Let me have this.
Let me have a cookie with self crumbling thoughts overcome her fears and guilt by finding her courage and hope. Fueling her determination to keep up living and make amends for the things she's done.
ESPECIALLY after giving her the title "Hope For Freedom".
Hope has such a personal meaning to me. It's what we give ourself when we have nothing else. It's what we forge out of nothing, fueling us to get up and keep on going. No matter how many times we get knocked down, let down or fail, there's always a possibility for something better!
Self sacrifice is NOT hope. It does NOT grand you redemption!
Martyrdom should never be seen as something heroic. It's a tragedy and a scapegoat.
Self sacrifice is an escape from taking responsibility from the things you've done. Even when it cancels out a big evil villain, there are still much to be done and what has been left behind.
Worst of all, it sends the wrong message to people with severe depression, anxiety and such..! Hope is what keeps you going!
So we deserve a person who has dealt and keeps dealing with all of these heavy thoughts, who keeps on going. Because she found hope. In her friends... In the curiousity of what tomorrow will bring.
Thank you for listening to my ted talk.
I know these are just rushed doodles, but I had to get this idea out on paper. And I hope it'll bring some of you joy.
And most of all, bring you hope.
Things will get better.

Wow. When you pointed out he used to have bad luck on his birthday yOU WEREN'T KIDDING..!
Following your blog it always makes me more curious about Gladstone..! Hyped for your next art pieces and I hope you're gonna have a great day!
it’s true! I even make direct reference to this part in Plane Sailing-
it’s such a fascinating little story because before Don Rosa made the Sign of the Triple Distelfink it wasn’t really explained how or why Gladstone came to be so lucky, but since then it just all... clicked, you know? there’s some other versions of how he got his luck but as with many other takes the Rosa/Barks versions are largely the most accepted, because they just feel right.
@rainy-painter ‘s birthday is going on for them rn its early in the morning and theyre gonna sleep but i sent them this present for them before they went to sleep but this is for them! Happy Birthday once again Rainy!
