A loving Bkg with a baby is *chef kisses*
I can totally see him doubtful at first. Like worried if he's going to be a good father since he usually makes kids cry. Probably kept telling his partner that they would only have ONE kid.
After seeing them swell with his baby he started to get more handsy and protective of you. Like if anyone even looks as you funny, they're dead. Is literally the best boyfriend/husband/future daddy. That kid doesn't need a guard dog with Bkg as a dad.
His baby comes and I give it AT THE MOST a year before he's talking about more kids.

It's not that Bakugo doesn't want kids, he just... isn't sure how good he'll be with them. He has other priorities in life, you know? And even though you're at the top, nobody (not even himself) could really call him parent material.
So does he agree to give you one single baby when you're both ready? Sure. Does he actually realize what that entails (see: him becoming obsessed with parenthood)? No.
And just like you said, the switch is dramatic LOL. It's like, he goes from completely neutral, "are you sure?" vibes, to... just a ball of nerves and overprotective anger that turns into never being able to leave you OR your kiddie alone.
Definitely refuses to let you handle ALL of the nighttime routine, feedings, even leave the both of you alone when it's plyatime... he's gotta be apart of it...
...and yeah. Six months in, he definitely has an emotional moment when he sees your bab's teeth growing in where he goes "well... maybe a second... wouldn't be horrible."
