Yep, it’s very dramatic and no one else is ever allowed to see it because it’s slightly embarrassing lol.
Okay, my thoughts and feelings. Bear in mind that I’ve only finished season 1 (life’s been a bit stressful lately). I think it’s pretty damn amazing! One of the best shows I’ve ever watched if not the best. It doesn’t shy away from dramatic and crazy things (I mean, the first episode! Or the one where the guy has sex with his dog! Or that Fuzz has an affair with his teacher!) but at the same time it’s funny and hilarious (are barristers allowed to talk like that in court?) and Cleaver is such an asshole but at the same time he’s the best and I adore him! And everyone else is so real and it just doesn’t feel like you’re watching a show!
I adore Cleaver and Wendy, still not sure about Melissa and Harry. They annoy me less than at the beginning of the show (I wonder if the situation with Cleaver’s tax records is ever resolved) but I definitely like other characters more than them.
I just feel like the show could be more diverse (hopefully it will be in the next three seasons) because it’s very white and heterosexual at the moment.
(I still don’t think the American version could work in the same way the Australian version does - it has been cancelled after one season so it clearly didn’t. And it’s not that I hate Greg Kinnear, I really don’t, but he’s not Richard Roxburgh.)
