Hello! Omg, I just saw your gorgeous perfect Abbott Elementary gifset via tvarchive and have to ask: how did you get that awesome effect on the font? I love it so much ... is there a tutorial or something you know of that I could learn it from? Please and thank you!

Hi thank you so much! For this set, I first had the text as just white with a drop shadow effect. Then, I made the blending effect “difference” and changed the color overlay to “color” and chose the shade I wanted. Once that’s done and the text was centered, I duplicated that layer. With that new layer, I changed the blending effect back to normal, made the fill opacity 0, and then added a 1pt white stroke outside. I centered this layer so it was directly over the first text layer and then I edited the position so that it was 2px over to the right and 2px down so it’s now offset from the original. That’s it! I was tagged by @ennaih One show I don't really watch any show that regularly these days, and I only ever watched Downton for Maggie Smith. I suppose the show that I will always comes back to is The West Wing. It was a beautiful dream of what could be - a smart and funny fantasy about good people trying to good deeds. Two performers Maggie Smith. I think this one goes without saying. The greatest actress ever. Eileen Atkins. I always knew she was badass, but she blew me away as Ellen Terry. Three Songs This might sound dreadfully pretentious, but I don't really do "songs", so much as instrumentals. Max Richter - Three Worlds Max Richter - On the Nature of Daylight Immediate Music - Where We Met (aka, the music from the international trailer for Carol) Four operas/books/plays Interpreters by Ronald Harwood (it's a fairly serviceable play, nothing terribly great, but any play that features a character played by Maggie Smith getting very passionately hit on and then doing it in the shower off stage is a winner in my eyes lol *shallow). 10. What inspires you the most?

Is it bad if I say deadlines? Can you tell I’m in graduate school? Honestly, reading is a big inspiration for me.

11. Weirdest thing you’ve ever written/thought about writing/etc.?

I think there’s a lot of folks on this site who would consider my ships in general weird. Particularly my one woman canoe of Stannerys in the ASOIAF fandom. Beyond that, I don’t think I’ve thought about or tried anything particularly strange? I think that if you can name it or think of it, it’s basically been done by fandom at this point, hahaha!

15. Your guilty writing pleasure?

Does enemies to lovers count? That’s most of my ships, actually.

16. Do you have structured ideas of how your story is supposed to go, or make it up as you write?

I feel as though this is sort of a cop-out for this question, but it honestly depends on the piece. I had a structured plan for my big multi-chapter piece, if it were only the stars we had wanted to conquer, but most of the pieces I’ve written recently I’ve just kind of started and went from there. I’ve gotten a lot better at writing linearly since then!

YES IT WAS! The scene when she sees Polly? I almost had a fucking heart attack! But overall I liked it. I like the atmospheric type of horror movies.

Also, fun fact: @padfootwantsatummyrub said almost the exact same thing when I told her that I watched The Ritual xD which I also liked but I don’t think you’d like it cos it’s a very cliché horror movie.

Partly! My coworker had told me about it and that I have to watch it cos she’s sure I’ll like it and I was like, uh, no?! It’s a fucking horror movie! And she was like, no Julia! It’s different! Of course, I didn’t watch it. But then I saw on Facebook that you watched it and I was like, guess I’m going to watch this now!
