This pizza brings back happy memories. Growing up, my cousins and I would go the streets of Sampaloc, Manila and treat ourselves with pizza from the vendor at the corner of J. Barlin and Cataluna St. We knew the time that he opens his tiny stall and almost always we were the first to queue for his pizza when we wanted a special treat for the week. It was the best pizza in the world. Nothing fancy, just plain ham/pepperoni, cheese and pizza sauce yet heaven-sent for it’s taste.
