eyes watched as the other dipped their head in respect. ❝ you know your place, uraume. i appreciate that. ❞ his appreciation was about as true as he could get it. sukuna valued uraume's craft and dedication. much beyond that was felt as a question. like a curious breeze on an otherwise still air.

the thought of being without uraume crossed his mind for a fraction of a second. he could survive without them. they were a mere luxury to him but perhaps time had made him a bit sentimental because the thought alone caused a frown to pull slightly at his lips. no one could cook for him like they do. no one (regardless of how much they said they could) would show the same level of care and dedication as uraume. was this sentimentality or complacency?
