Life without the Tap Club

Raleigh's pub and Cafe Intermezzo will remain absent from Telegraph Avenue, despite an earlier announcement that both businesses would return in temporary structures. Raleigh's and Intermezzo burned down in a November fire.

I hope it's just smoke damage and not full-on completely irreparable for Cafe Intermezzo. That might not be the case though. Upwards of 70 people (many students) lost their homes last night in a fire that raged for 9 hrs. And before finals too :( Doesn't sound like anyone died, but the firefighters are not sure yet.
