TVB Anniversary Awards 2014 « Ram Chiang wins best supporting actor
"I won an award at the same stage 20 years ago but it was a singer award. An award for singing, 20 years later i received an award that was non related to singing, I'm thankful. Both of these awards are related to singing. The only difference is that 20 years ago i was a singer and 20 years later I acted as a singer. I am a professional actor. When it comes to an award, I have to thank someone. He told me one day that he'll be able to bring me to the destination. Thank you, Mr Wong Cho Lam" - Ram
老表你好HEA Come On, Cousin 插曲 "Ram Chiang was originally a singer-songwriter, composer and lyricist to songs such as《相逢何必曾相識》&《舊朋友》. Although the songs were a hit, he himself unfortunately wasn't able to become big/popular. He later believes that his「singing career has already ended」, and decided to not sing anymore, even rejecting to perform/sing on variety shows... Wong Cho Lam: I always thought Ram Chiang is TVB's pearl of the sea/unrecognized talent. He appeals nicely to viewers; why doesn't he have a representative work? When we collaborated in Glided Chopsticks, I asked him 'I know you said you won't sing onscreen ever again', and he said 'We can negotiate/talk about it'... This time, I used his/Rita Carpio's 相逢何必曾相識 and made up a story, filling in 5 episodes with laughter and tears. A lot of those born after the nineties doesn't know that Ram Chiang knows how to sing. I genuinely want to pay him a tribute." ▬ zitaulomong (I can't believe they actually update this site, so impressive!)
I was disappointed at Lo Sir's reaction... :( He seemed like such a noble man all along, but when the woman he thought was Sui Hau Hau didn't match his expectations, he couldn't have ran off any faster!
