Recipe for the Home Made Rooh Afza Thanks to everyone who patiently waited since yesterday. LoL I promised and I am delivering. ➡️ yields 2 cups of Rooh Afza Syrup. Ingredients: 🌹3-4 cups of Rose Petals. Dried or Fresh. I used dried. But fresh will give you a boost of aroma (make sure they're edible and washed!) 🌹5 cups of WATER 🌹1 cup white sugar (you can add more but I wanted mine less sweet) 🌹1 tablespoon Corn Starch mixed with 3-4 tablespoons of water. Make it a thick paste. 🌹Rose Oil for extra flavour (optional) Directions ⬇️ Boil the Roses with water on medium-low heat. Keep lid covered. Boil for 1 hour or more depending on your stove temp. Ultimately this can also be Cooked on a slow cooker for few hours. Slow cooking the mixture will really help release the natural colours and flavour of Roses. Add sugar when you see bubbles forming and the mixture is becoming more saturated with rose colours. Cook until the mixture is about 2 cups. Add the corn starch mixture for thickening. However I didn't do that part because I like my syrup lighter. Enjoy your natural and healthier version of Rose Syrup/Rooh Afza 💞💞 . . FYI - There is no food coloring here so your Rooh Afza made at home will not be an exact copy cat of store bought bottles. Keep in mind those are full of preservatives and sugar+food coloring and artificial flavours. . . . . #muslimmom #muslimfoodie #ramadandrinks #ramadandrink #ramadan❤️ #ramadan❤️2021 (at Toronto, Ontario) https://www.instagram.com/p/CNan7hrhmig/?utm_medium=tumblr
