Don't forget to Rest While your fasting today. This is a corner for my kids but sometimes I bring in the folding bed to rest while my kids are in virtual school or playing. Ramadan is already half way through. This is how I have been dealing with Ramadan Fatigue while taking care of my kids and family. If you have have any tips please let me know in the comments. ⬇️ ☪️ Eat a well balanced Suhoor (meal before Dawn) I make sure to have protein rich smoothie or a meal and always a Date. ( A date is filled with many different nutrients to keep our body energized) I also drink Coconut Water as it has Electrolytes to combat dehydration ☪️ Drink plenty of water after Iftar till Suhoor. ☪️ Keeping my meals lighter when I first break my fast and I take alot of Yogurt for digestion and cooling of the stomach. ☪️During the day I try to do a cat nap. I don't have guilt over giving my kids some screen time just so I can do this. I choose to honour my body so I can be healthy and alive for my kids. ☪️Last but not least. I do not stress on huge meals for Iftar. Usually we do one pot meal or quick meals cooked in the Instant Pot like khichuri, Morog Polaw, daal and rice etc. I bake most of the Iftar menu and occasionally fry them in very little oil. Salad and fruits are a big part of our Iftar! . . . . #ramadan❤️2021 #ramadanreflectionspandemicedit (at Toronto, Ontario) https://www.instagram.com/p/COQcjmDBMMJ/?utm_medium=tumblr
