small life update:

There's this silly little game called Lethal Company and it's been populating mine and my friend's minds for a while (because it's fun as FUCK) so we decided to create some lore to our lovely space scrap collectors, because of COURSE a bunch of nerds who are also ttrpg players are going to create deep backstories for characters in the dumbest games imaginable, even though their backstories never really come out during gameplay

It's a shame we die very easily because, besides nerds, we're not really competent and we also lack the necessary amount of braincells to avoid pretty avoidable monsters. But it's FUN anyway

good news: I got a job I was looking forward to get and I'm actually excited to be there and learn as much as I can

also good but very tiring news: I have so much shit to do and to study related (and unrelated) to the actual job that I don't see myself having free time to just exist for at least another month

i just learned that stockton rush (oceangate's ceo)'s wife, wendy rush, is descended from two passengers who died on THE Titanic in 1912, and now he's +/- 8h away from dying too and his death will be related to it in some capacity

i'm pretty sure it's a generational curse at this point

oh, the neurodivergent high when you Put Things In A Particular Order You Enjoy

context: in brazil, to be a civil servant (city, state or federal level), there are "exams" made on a large scale for people to apply and they need to demonstrate knowledge in a number of things (specific to each public office), and these exams are called concursos públicos / "public contests/exams (? don't know how to translate them properly)". think final term exams with multiple choice questions and/or open questions and/or essays on relevant topics for the position, but for a job (this is a very simple description of the process). sounds awful, but personally I find it much better than the traditional method of job interviews, since you're hired (or not) based on your raw knowledge/experience about the intricacies of the job and not because someone liked/disliked you or you didn't jump through enough hoops to be taken seriously (job hunting in brazil is a big joke, i'm sure it's the same way abroad)

rant: i should be studying right now for an exam that will happen next month and instead i'm listening to vaporwave.mp3 compilations on youtube trying to find a way to focus and failing miserably
