Eph is one of my (like, 23) Hollow Knight ocs
Eph is the oldest of all my ocs, being the child of Pale King and Grimm, an accident in highschool. Now, when I made him I didnt take into account Grimm and PK have been alive for centuries, if not millenia, and only recently gave him a canon age. He is currently 83! My oldest oc by far, I think. Hes about as tall as a stage three grimmchild, being just barely taller than one die to his three horns. He inherited inky black ears on the side of his head from Grimm, because why the hell not. He grew up with Pale King, and due to this being around the time he became king, Eph didnt get very much attention as a child, especially once the vessels came into play. So Eph grew up a loner, not having many friends due to never going outside because of major social anxiety and being an introvert. Not that PK would let him out without supervision anyways. It took him most of his life to find out Grimm was his other father, and didbt spend much time eith his family even after he found them, as he couldnt deal with his 7,(possibly more) new siblings, as well as Hollow *again* and Radiance, and it overloaded him. So he ran off. He's a wanderer nowadays, known for his white horns reminiscent of the King and his red wings and his fire abilities, and nobody really knows very much about him.
Back to him growing up, before he ever found out about Grimm being his father, he would hear Grimm and Pale King argue a *lot*, mainly about Eph, the Kingdom, and the Radiance. Pale King resented Grimm, and Grimm felt the same, so it wasnt uncommon for them to get into physical fights that ended up in more than a few burns and cuts. During these he would hole himself up and become even more secluded, to the point nobody found him until he came out. In his loneliness and boredom, he tattooed himself, and sewed designs into his cloak.
Now back to the future when he finds Siblings™. He connected most with Juneau, a Grumm shipchild I made, who was the youngest in the family at the time. She would bother him, he would get annoyed and snap at her politely, she would laugh and continue. Sometimes they comforted each other when the other was sad. At some point, Eph lost control of his emotions, and killed Juneau on accident. From then on his siblings hated him, and he hated himself even more than before, holding on desperately to any memories he had with her, very nearly driving himself insane.
Eph also nearly killed a sibling he didnt know he had, because they looked like a very spikey Radiance, so. Thats always fun. He doeent get along with his siblings very well at all.
Most bugs are scared of him, or in awe. Not much is known about him ither than he bares the likeness of the King and he can manipulate and use fire. He only attacks in self defense, and doesnt get attached to anyone very quickly anymore, as to not have another Juneau situation happen
