I’m in a bunch of debt because I went to the school of my choice instead of a fully funded school. I was scared to regret not going, I’m glad I’m here…I’ll deal with the debt….eventually…

Stay in the US. You can always travel later on in your life, but you can’t always get free education.

I’d stay in the US and get a free education. Like the others said, you could do a study abroad program to avoid the debt. Also, the UK isn’t going anywhere, but the scholarship will if you don’t take it.

UK

I’d go to the university that fully funds me bc, like I’m sure others have mentioned, there’s always study abroad programs. That way you could still get a chance to study in the uk and not have to worry about being 67k in debt.

uk because if you don’t pay it off they let it slide. but your choice - whichever you think is better for your education. uni is about learning not paying remember, so go with what feels right for YOU :)

That is a ton of debt, I would go for Atlanta for sure. Scotland isn’t going anywhere, you can always go another time. Could you do a semester abroad or something?

fully fund, close to $70k debt not a very pleasant thing to have over your head
viserian answered your post: y’all i have a question:would you stay...
doesn’t that american university offer a year abroad? like you study in atlanta most of the time but then one year in the uk (without having to pay tuition)? i’m not sure if american schools do that but it’s possible here in austria :/ so maybe…?

going to europe seems like a great experience but you might not like it and regret it i would stay safe unless you are 100% ready to face all that debt!!
1) y'all are amazing and i appreciate all of y'all's in put. really really really. 2) y'all are all saying what i've been feeling. my heart says glasgow and my head says atlanta. idk why i hadn't thought of study abroad...?? i've been too wrapped up in going to scotland NOW and didn't think about that. gsu has some high $$ study abroad scholarships that could happen. i could get funding once at glasgow but that's a mighty big "if" and i'd probably have to take out more loans for living expenses. (taking out the full stafford amount wouldn't even cover glasgow's tuition! like what?!) i know deep down i should go to gsu - it has a good rep, free tuition, teaching/tutoring/editing gig - but you know i'm forever the dreamer and that was scotland. surely to god it ain't that hard to get into the country later on? like y'all've said, scotland (and my ability to research there) ain't gonna change, but this opportunity will! 3) so much love SO MUCH LOVE for your responses. seriously. i've been freaking out so so much. my mind is so much more at ease.
