ok but why would ranbob kill the fishermen? what purpose does it serve?

if ranbob was lying and it was actually just dream, why would he kill these random fishermen? why keep the lost city of mizu a secret? well obviously something was off, history wasn’t true. eret didn’t kill george, tubbo wasn’t leader of manberg. so why would dream want to preserve inaccurate history?

because it gives him more power. he is the only person (other than karl but that doesn’t really count as karl does age) who will be alive to tell the story of dream smp. so why would he tell the story of how he lost?

but dream wasn’t telling the story. he was hiding it. keeping it a secret. meaning that there is something out there that can disprove dream’s story. but what?

we can see that people living on the surface is possible, as all the fishermen lived on the surface, so maybe there are more descendants out there, with historical accounts of what happened.
