Kankri x Aranea Humanstuck AU
Kankri, with his eyes closed, shook his head.
The feeling, wasn't a sickness or even a mental break. This feeling, embedded deep within the depths of his chest, was love.
”It's alright. I love you."
Those words enough were left ricocheting from within his mind. It was terrifying, just as he had secretly known it would. Their air conditioner roared, the summer's heat licking its burning toungue on anything it could touch. Kankri looked at her face as he held her in hs arms.
It's alright
It was good. Not the kind of mediocre "good" that was thrown out in assortments of mundane notions and ideas, but the kind that separated it's counterpart, bad. A penchant of limerence pinched his cheeks and the foreceful inclintation to brush her hair from her eyes swept over his otherwise blank face. His fingers dabbled in the air until he brought them down softly, and did as he wished. Her eyes, a magnificent blue behind her pointed ivy glasses, flickered open. Her lips, the lipstick having rbbed off slightly, curled into a smile, and Kankri felt his own follow suit. Her hair tickled his arm, the currnelt of the weak machine causing it to slightly shake, the follicals dancing like critters.
At the end of the day, it was okay, because he had everything. It didn't matter how popular he was, or who got what in a unprofessional environment.
They were home, everyone was home. He had accompolished something he didn't believe was possible. It was almost like he hasd hit the highest level in a game that he could have, without dying. And that, was enough. To unify the bonds of friendship and love alike. That was certainly something to be proud of, and for the first time in his life, he was. He was proud, and he was happy. The way in which one incident could shape one's life forever was certainly a terrifying notion in and of itself, but he was sure that after this ordeal, he could get through anything. All he had to do was truly let himself guide the way. There were still threats from beyond, but with time, he'd get to that. Until then, the revolution had finally, seemingly, put an end to things, at least for an ephemeral stretch of time, just as it always had been in history. Trizza was still out there, and so were many others, just alike her.
