We Turned the Hustle Cat Cast into Shit Posts

Graves and Hayes, Don’t ask how Graves got young again or why we made Hayes Harley Quinn

Finley and Mason are a Sci Fi boho anime chick, with a denim corset (+ Real Ass Gun), and a Pirate Hooker

Avery got dressed by a flash mob, and also Finley. He shoots fake animals with his bow and then ties them to his dream catcher to emphasise his victory. The abomination to the right is a Steven Universe Fusion of Reese and Landry. HIs name is Randly (It was Landree but they wanted to be Xtra Special) HIs personality is the passive aggressiveness of Landry x11 and Reese’s playboy act combined

Here we see the wild Fashion Reese in it’s natural defensive state. He is scowling in reproach in regard to the abomination that is Denim-Landry: his natural enemy. Denim Landry (Jandry the common name) is consisted of 98.007% Denim. Even the bead on hs clothes are are encased in demin by hand. 

The Jandry is currently displaying his mating call and face to which the Fashion Reese is summoning many different things out of one hand to counteract or possibly attack in defense.

From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU.

This fic turned my world upside down, I’m so incredibly excited and happy that it affected this fandom so heavily.

The pairing came about an early morning when I had just woke up, I had previously finished watching the show and the third season was just starting to release.

I was skeptical of my paring, believing it was too strange.

But. I wrote it for myself and only myself.(in the beginning)

I looked at Randall when he was introduced as a sort of character I connected to, hot-tempered, arrogant— but also very layered and easy to empathize with. Someone who I could tell suffered tremendously even before he arrived in town.

Then, I looked at Smiles. This strange red headed enigma who I just couldn’t figure out. He’s curious, of course, playing in the bus and petting the plants on the Colony House balcony. The one who didn’t seem to fear anything in the same way as the others else would. Just a curious and possibly autistic little ghoul who holds a story and a name we’re still yet to learn, a story and a name I’ve only to speculate and build myself until the time comes.

And together? My two favorite characters who are complete strangers hold so much similarity that I felt like I only had to pull one last thread to drag them together. Like the rest had been done for me. Despite them not having even met and still haven’t.

People over time have told me that since I published “Everything’s Ours, For a Few Hours” their minds have changed, their own stories have developed, and they realized that there were pairings outside of the status quo.

A pairing that brought the fandom on ao3 truly to life was at my fingertips. So, I kept writing for them.

And even though every story of them meeting started off a little different, the ending was always the same; two unlikely individuals falling in love, stitched together at the hip. They were one another’s shackles, but in a safe securing sort of way.

A muzzle for a dog in who is afraid of biting.

And yet, as my writing has improved drastically from that first fic, nothing will ever truly capture the way it felt and still feels to newcomers to the FROM tag. A curiosity of a cat— not unlike Smiles’ canonical curiosity.

So, I wrote another fic, because I couldn’t resist.

And I called it; Heartstrings. But this time, Smiles could bite all he pleased. Because Randall had one thing that has always followed these two from that first story: otherworldly-trust.

Will these two ever canonically meet? Unsure. Will they have this same dynamic? I can only hope.

But for now, Heartstrings is my current project, and if you loved EOFAFH I’m curious if you might like this one too.
