Happy National Margatita Day!
Motel Nights
Faye was sitting on the bed. With a cigarette dangling from her lips. She was moving her leg slowly while fanning herself with a magazine.
"I'm hungry," she commented without looking at him, plopping down on the bed.
"We can call some restaurant," he replied. "Do you have something in mind?"
"I don't know... food," Faye said. " It's so hot I can't even think."
"You're not helping..." retorted Spike getting up from the chair, looking around the floor for his boxers. "I'm gonna hit the vending machine."
"Aren't you at least put your pants on?" asked Faye sitting up and sitting down on the bed with her legs crossed.
"Are you afraid I'll seduce some woman along the way?" Spike asked mockingly moving closer to her.
" Yeah, Spike that's my biggest fear..." replied Faye grabbing him by the chin.
He moved in to kiss her, but she pulled away.
"So ... you're still angry?" Spike grinned and gave her a sonorous slap on the thigh.
"Yep" she replied holding his gaze, while biting her lip.
"And that earlier thing was?" asked Spike again, tucking her hair behind the ears.
"Angry sex,"
"I like angry sex"
"You like sex"
"You've a point."
Faye lay back down on the bed and he lay down next to her, draping his arm and leg over her.
" Spike, please, it's too hot, let go of me," Faye turned and kissed his shoulder before pushing him across the bed.
"What do you want to eat then?" he asked taking the pack of cigarettes from the bedside table.
"Mmmm a burger..."
"With cheese, egg, bacon and caramelized onions..." he finished the sentence for her. "And fries."
Faye looked at him with a mixture of disbelief and amazement.
"I'm an observant man, sweetie."
"And you, double burger, double bacon, no veggies and the strongest cheese in there" Faye smiled proudly. "You're not the only observant one, sweetie."
Spike reached out for the phone and called the motel reception. He ordered, all without getting out of bed.
"We should get dressed," he murmured running his fingers over Faye's stomach. "Or wait naked for the delivery guy, maybe he'll give us a discount."
"Or maybe he''ll call the police," Faye replied who sat up and searched under the bed for her dress. Spike didn't bother to dress beyond his boxers.
The food didn't take long to arrive, they sat at the small table in the room and ate in silence. It made him feel uncomfortable, even though Faye didn't refuse to speak to him, nor was she distant, he felt that something was broken.
"Are you really angry?" he asked when they were done eating.
"Yes, but it doesn't matter," she replied playing with the napkins without looking up from the table.
"Then can we get on with the argument interrupted by fucking?" he asked with a grin.
Faye laughed, at least he was getting that. She got up from the table and walked over to the window.
"I haven't been with anyone else...I've tried, believe me, but when it comes down to it, I feel like I'm betraying you and it feels awful," Faye leaned against the wall, for some reason not daring to look at him.
"Me neither, if it helps," Spike said.
"I knew that," she tilted her head slightly to look at him and gave a faint smile.
"Why?" He asked curiously.
"You're not a one-night stand guy," She turned to pick up the tobacco packet on the table, lit one and then handed it to him.
"I'm not?" Spike smiled touching her fingers to take the cigarette.
"You're complicated," she smiled back and lit her own cigarette.
"Thanks, I guess"
They became silent again, letting the smoke surround them, like an ethereal mist that wrapped around them like a cloak.
Spike got up from the table and walked over to her, who was still leaning against the wall. He put a hand on her neck and rested his head on hers.
"It's not that I distrust you, it's just that I'd rather know if that happens" he whispered caressing her face.
Faye wrapped her arms around his waist and sighed.
"You need to work out your trust issues," she whispered.
"Said the pot to the kettle."
Faye snorted again and broke away from him, giving him a little shove. Spike chuckled and placed his hand on her ass.
"For the record, I've had my one-night stands, a waitress at Mac's Diner, Judy, to name a few," he said smugly, with a proud chuckle.
"Judy?" Faye gave him a sidelong glance. " You make it sound like I know her."
"Yeah, the Judy in Judy and Punch," he said, raising his eyebrows repeatedly.
"The blonde from the Big Shot?" she asked in disbelief.
Spike laughed again and nodded his head.
"Sure, Spike" replied Faye sitting up in bed. She grabbed his hand and pulled him up. When he fell on top of her, she hugged him and kissed his nose.
"It's okay, don't believe me" Spike reached inside her dress and hugged her. "You got any celebrities on your list?"
"You're crazy if you think I'm going to answer that question."
I went to a coffee shop that opened recently and ended up stopping by an used bookstore. It was a nice day.

The past few days have been unbelievable and full of random things. I had a party and then in the morning, I went to brunch. Where I met some very nice people, I went to a flea market with and had coffee with. Then we got 2 tickets to an incredible stage play... I came home late at night
