I’m leaving for my very first work trip in a couple of days and I’m so excited! Five days of me all on my own geeking out about all the new advancements in my field and going on little adventures and having a hotel room all to myself! I’ve been working on getting used to enjoying my own company and building the confidence to do things myself and this will be a great exercise in being alone!

You know, life is kind of the worst in SO MANY ways right now. Both personally and in the general state of things (American here, so referring to that whole...mess). My health is fucked, my safety is fucked, I'm stressed all the time and I don't currently have a job.

But, like...as I lay here in my bed with purple sheets, wearing my CPAP machine and looking at the morning sun filter in through my (also purple) curtains, and my old baby cats are laying on me (and trying to smother me in spite of the aforementioned CPAP machine) I am having a very nice moment of Life Doesn't Suck. So that's neat.
