Fortnight of Books 2025: Day 7

Most memorable character?

Indy, the tumbleweed-looking alien from The Road to Roswell, is both incredibly endearing and a concept that will never leave me. I need fanart of him. I still have yet to find any.

Also I can't walk into an antique store (the greatest fun you can have in Boringsville) anymore with something in my brain going "oh, yeah, my good friend Jack Knight would have a field day in here." While he isn't my all-time favorite of the characters I've encountered in comics this past year, he's written with enough realism for me to feel like we've "hung out" a lot after being in his head for like 80 issues.

Most annoying character?

I wanted to punch the entire cast of The Inheritance Games. They weren't characters; they were YA tropes.

In re: public transit, I feel so validated every time I see the "Gen Z doesn't CARE about DRIVING and wants PUBLIC TRANSIT OPTIONS" headlines as though these youth are all insane.

I've had my license since I was a teenager but I didn't even especially WANT it, AND I hate driving, AND I like to save money and the Earth. People used to be like "aren't you SO EXCITED TO DRIVE?????" Uh, not really? I mean I'll do it, in part because I live here and I have to, but I hate it.

Hiiiiiiiii I uh-- Yes I am lacking in vital brain power to focus longer than 1hr at a time. It's a crime against me currently. I'm still writing drabbles and the motivation to write my chapters is there. My vacation goes til the 26th so let's so how much I can accomplish these last few days 😭

Also we've had friends visiting this past week so been playing tour guide. I appreciate you not forgetting about me and holding me accountable 💕 Like I really really appreciate you!
