It. Is 3:30 in the morning. I am, as far as I know, the only one awake in a room of four people.

I was planning on sleeping, I promise.

But honestly it’s almost more fun to listen to he shitty white noise on the alarm. Almost more fun to listen to Exhibit A snore all night, and watch Exhibit C slowly end up wrapped in the entirety of the blankets on this bed. Fun to pretend I’m gonna go to sleep in fifteen minutes. Fun to feel myself be tired, but every time I try to sleep I get all un-tired.

I like this feeling, when the worlds asleep and it seems like I’m not only one who gets to see and hear and feel all these things.

It’s like I get this whole other world to myself, in these moments when time practically stops.
