Irina smiled sadly, but didn't agree with what her daughter said, she still blamed herself deep down.

She should have known Ivan had sold their baby, should have stayed awake so she could have fought when they came to take Natalia. But she couldn't change the past.

"When I found out what had really happened, I nearly killed Ivan... I left him immediately and started looking for you as soon as I could. I got a glimpse of you once... your hair was blue."

Ahh such a rebel time for Natalia to dyed her hair blue but again, it was part of the mission and she had to protect Yelena at that time. Looking at her mother, shaking her head since its been years and she knew it was not her fault to give her up like that. "Its the past, all we can do now is to move forward and start over. Do you want to join me for dinner later? We can catch up and you can meet James." She suggested.

Maybe it was too fast but there was lost times and so much had happened and she wanted her family back, even if that means meeting James Barnes.

Even though she had been part of this world for several years, Pepper was still shocked that things like this could happen. “I’m so sorry, Natasha,” she said, gently wiping some blood away from her friend’s hairline. “I mean, it looks like you got some of them good.”

The redhead sly a small smile as she glance up at her friend. "Hey...no need to be sorry, Pepper. Not your fault. "She said and then shake her head. "Always got them really bad but I got the intel." Reaching into her jacket and show her friend the hard drive. "Its says Property of Stark Industries."

He brought her a glass of water from the kitchen and set it on the coffee table in front of her. “Pregnancy is weird. It’s crazy to think you’re growing an entire human in your body.”

He took a seat next to her, giving her some space in case she wanted it. “Oh man. We’re gonna have to baby proof every room. Especially the kitchen. And get baby gates for when they start crawling. And baby toys and clothes…”

"Honey, that's a little far ahead don't you think? Baby proofing before the baby can even crawl yet come out of me yet." She added before sitting back up to reach the glass of water that he got for her. "Right now...I think we should take in how quiet it is and just us two. Minus me throwing up every other hour." The redhead stated as she took a slip of the water. "Just a couple of more month and we're going to be a family of three."

The redhead gave him a shrug. "I don't know...maybe...maybe not depend."

"I would pay to see you ask my insurance for a bonus."

"I think you underestimate me, Clint. I always find a way."

“Don’t apologize, you know our door is always open,” Pepper said, bringing Natasha into the kitchen. Rummaging through a couple drawers, she grabbed a few towels and found her first aid kit to help with a few of the cuts and bruises on her friend. “What’s going on, who did this to you?”

The redhead followed her friend into the kitchen, grabbing one of the chair by the breakfast table and sat down. Natasha wasn't that bad, if anything the other guys were far worst than her. "They are coming after me, Pepper. I for sure I wiped everyone else after S.H.I.E.L.D. fall but apparently some of them are sleeper agents." She replied with a half smile. "Orlov still has his puppets."

He leaned over to kiss her, the grin never leaving his face. “I’d break down every wall there is to reach you, Natalia.”, He breathed, keeping his hand on her stomach.

He laughed at the mental image of their baby taking on the staff at the hospital. “Probably will, considering how badass their mother is.” He kissed her cheek, then moved back to give her a little space. His hand stayed on her belly. “Uh… like seven minutes, I think.” He glanced at his phone. “Six minutes.” When she got the hiccups, he couldn’t help but chuckle. “We should, yeah. I’ll go check.” He got up off the couch and headed into the bathroom, returning a few minutes later with the bottle. “Here you go, sweetheart. I’ll get you some water too.”

Pregnancy was harder for her, the morning sickness, nausea and endless hiccups that gives her the worst heartburn she ever had in her life. Pushing herself up from the couch to sit up straight just a bit as she watch her man head over to the bathroom for tums or some heartburn relief. "Its so weird that I'm so hungry and yet, I'm here getting hiccups." She added before the hiccups kicking back.

"Imagine little Barnes running around here next Christmas and us kissing under the mistletoe." She pointed out, taking a look around their living room with just the two of them now.

Irina nodded, it was as good a place to start as any.

"I have been looking for you since they took you from me, helping other mothers who have had their babies stolen from them along the way. I got close once, but then you disappeared, so I had to keep looking, but my sources tell me that the Red Room is gone, they were the only thing keeping you from me, and I'm sorry for it." She had wanted to grab her daughter all those years ago, to run and run and never let her go.

But what kind of life was that for her child?

"I'm so sorry it took so long."

Was she mad at her. In the beginning, yes, but The Redroom wiped that out of her and made her into a weapon but the thought was always behind her mind 'why did my mother gave me up?' No harsh feeling of course now, time had past and Natalia is now a full grown woman, running a team and a family. No grudges against her mother. Now listening to her about how she kept looking for her after all these times which made her realized nothing beats like a mother's love.

Looking at her mother, a splitting image of her, Natalia can see in her self and she wanted to run over and hug her, the little Talia would but something stop her. "It wasn't your fault. They took me away from you."

“Happy Mother’s Day!” Clara smiles as she hands Natasha a present containing a new bottle of her favourite perfume. “Love you, mama.”

"My goodness, Clara! This is so sweet!" She called out and held the gift in her hand. "Thank you, darling. Best Mother's Day ever!"
