So I'm watching movies to pass the time.
And I've managed to find myself watching All Dogs go to Heaven. It's only now I realize that the beginning is confusing as all hell. It is ridiculously fast paced and I never realized it. Like it throws you into the story immediately. Right off the bat: Itchy is complaining and Charlie's trying to get him to shut up.
"No I know Charlie but I say this one is green-" "It's red." "Red?" JACKHAMMER
Hoo boy. Break out of prison in funny chaos, coming back and surprising everyone, and Carface comes to kill him again. Never realized it was a car though. And in New Orleans too. Nice touch that it's in Louisiana. Although he was 2??? Did I read that right? Also: "MOROOOOONNNSSSSS! I'M SURROUNDED BY MOROOOONNNSSS!"
It's so fast paced and I'm only processing that now. So I'm relearning many things today.
Edit: finished watching the movie(had paused at the part where Itchy was building Charlie's business)
Oh boy Charlie's nightmare was pure chaos. I remember how I was scared of that scene as a kid, and it's still rather peculiar now. Lightning cage in an empty crater, then a fiery tornado vacuum into hell. A skeleton boat and a skeleton dragon- did they put in Greek religion? Satan is a demon dragon and his fire apparently makes baby demons. But how the hell did Charlie get up on a broom?
"But did you know it's the Grand Chawhee's bIRTHDAY????"
The gator confused the hell outta me. I was trying so hard to figure out. "Is this a man or a woman??? Why are there rat worshippers? Is this a cult? WHY THE HELL WAS HE ENTRANCED WITH CHARLIE'S HOWL OF FEAR???"
And oh boy the ending. Oh boy. JUST PUT THE DAMN WATCH AROUND YOUR NECK CHARLIE. And was that a scene on the scale of 101 Dalmatians' London Bark? SUMMON THE DOGS; HELP THIS CHILD SHE HAS PNEUMONIA(or however the hell you spell it).
Like how Ann Marie(the young child, bless her) is religious. Christian, I think; she was praying to god(and in that scene I love Charlie's fear while he glances around the back of the car. Like he thinks they're going to come after him). Keeps that South Louisiana is widely Christian(Louisiana as a whole is, as far as I can tell, but around where I live mostly Catholic).
AND APPARENTLY CARFACE WAS EATEN BY THE GATOR???? AND CHARLIE COULDN'T TELL THE GIRL HE WAS DEAD AND THAT HE WOULDN'T COME BACK
But the ending tho: "Hey what's with this music?! Speed it up a bit, why don't ya?" "That's more like it!"
I'll rate it either a Chaotic Lawful or a Chaotic Neutral. 4.5/5 for being horrifyingly fast paced.
