Prompto petting his chocobo at Wiz’s chocobo post before the boys leave onto their next quest. He snuggles it’s head before feeling a light brush by his leg and seeing a little baby chocobo look up at him. “Heya buddy!” He says before kneeling down and picking up the little thing. He pets it for a little while before his own chocobo decides its time to sleep, and lays down. Prompto rests his head on the now snoring chocobo and sighs, letting the baby chocobo out of his arms. Soon it ruffles into his hair and blends in before falling asleep itself

Imagine Noctis and his s/o knocked out on their bed and noct rolls over just enough that he falls off the bed but is still dead asleep. His s/o wakes up to the sound and sees him on the ground and, like its normal, crawls out of bed with the blanket and cuddles next to him on the ground. Of course, he won't try to hurt the trainer with his Pokémon's attacks anymore (unless you're Petrel tbh and probably Giovanni), but he'll never stop thinking that trainers should fight alongside his Pokémon, either being on their backs or standing into the battle field with them.

It's obvious that Cerise brings a lot of bad memories to Lance. The first times he and his Pokémon trained there after his time in Johto, Sinnoh and back to Johto, he probably ended up feeling like shit instead of enjoying it. However, as times passes, even if he can't avoid that heartache of being in that place where he was a monster, he still loves that island.

It's true that not only emotionally, but physically it doesn't stop damaging him, but he can't just stop himself from training there. He doesn't do it often, though. Once every two weeks or a month (mainly because probably Cynthia and his Pokémon stop him). But he does, because even if it's got memories of a time he'd want to erase, that island was the perfect place to train and to make the bond with his Pokémon even stronger and unbreakable.

However, he always trains only in the crater. Cerise has never erupted again since the battle with Yellow, and he's not going to burn the flowers left by the Megavolt that destroyed and saved him after all.
