DanceDanceRevolution and BEMANI songs in NGO Custom Mixes
You might have not noticed this, but I used to be a huge fan of DanceDanceRevolution until the 2013 game happened. When Friday Night Funkin' became a thing, I tried going back when the fad happened. I also played beatmania IIDX games by the time I finally made homemade arcade sticks as the quality PS2 arcade sticks in the market can be very pricey, and none of the sticks have the optimal beatmania IIDX layout, allowing for uncomfortable play sessions (particularly on the 2P side). I played most of the styles, but I feel isolated as the arcade versions have way more tunes than 3rd style-EMPRESS combined. I also played GitaDora, but I only got one GUITARFREAKS guitar controller. I just need one more to complete the two-player setup.
Other than that, I also have a tendency to share my personal favorite songs from the BEMANI games into mods of other video games. I threw in tiger YAMATO's "R3" as Testament's replacement theme on most GUILTY GEAR XX custom mixes considering it sounding a little bit like the intro to "Bloodstained Lineage". Also, "B4U" is present in other GUILTY GEAR custom mixes, in the form of SuperGreenX's "4F73R M3" in X Accurate Mix as a Staff Roll theme and NAOKI's "glorious style" extended mix in the XX RandoMixes as Johnny's replacement theme. Kozo Nakamura's "Dragon Blade" is Robo-Ky's replacement theme in the XX Accurate Mixes while it became an Order-Sol vs. Ky theme in the XX ACCENT CORE Final Edition Accurate Mixes instead. Also, May's theme in the XX ACCENT CORE PLUS R Accurate Mix is Amuro vs. Killer's "Mei". It may sound out of place, but fitting at the same time (no pun intended).
Next is the TONY HAWK'S SKATEBOARDING RandoMixes. For THPS2 and Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX, I made it so my RandoMix affects both games and are forced to share the same soundtrack. This is due to the MHPB demo in THPS2 PSE having THPS2's officially-licensed soundtrack. As a result, "Let the beat hit 'em! ~CLASSIC R&B STYLE~" is in the RandoMix for both games. Next is the THPS3 RandoMix, and out of my personal picks, I chose StripE's "FIRE FIRE" considering its matching length and aggressive-sounding beats to pump up the first high score run. Not only that, I also threw in DJ SUWAMI's "THE CUBE" considering its matching length and being recorded the same year as THPS3's release. Not to mention the inclusion of "THE CUBE" also pointing out that THPS3 is one of the GameCube's launch titles.
Here we are with the THPS4 RandoMix, and I added Risky Men & Asuka M's "Mr.T ~take me higher~", since the short version's length matches that of Agent Orange's "Bloodstains ~Darkness Version~", the song that got replaced. A long version for the former song already exists, so I added that version for the PC and Xbox version's music patches. Same deal with TAG & Sydney Powers' "Take A Step Forward" in the THPS4 Black Label Mix, which had way less songs that are likely affected with copyright issues. There is jun & Sonnet's "THIS NIGHT" as a hidden DISC-only song, and an extended mix exists thanks to Moon Santa on YouTube. "Aftermath" from the more recent GitaDora games also appears as the 7th (and last) hidden DISC-only song considering its length. Not only that, Moon Santa also provided an extended mix for use with the Xbox and PC THPS4 RandoMixes as with "THIS NIGHT". Speaking of "THIS NIGHT", I used to have the TERRA remake working on PC at one point, but once I installed the Polish-exclusive music tracks from DISC 1 of Polish PC THPS4 one of the songs got duplicated in the playlist and the other (the advertised track in the duplicate playlist entry) went unused since both entries play the same song anyways. As a result, I moved the TERRA remake of "THIS NIGHT" to the Xbox as an exclusive music track to make room for the copyright-safe level music on the PC. After combining my THPS4 PSE RandoMix with the officially-licensed soundtrack to MHPB2, I realized two music slots were free, so I filled them up with the TERRA remake of "THIS NIGHT" and Tokimeki Idol Project's "Smiling Passion", as the latter sounded like a song that would fit perfectly in Digimon or Tony Hawk's Pro Skater.
My SUPER SMASH BROS. PROJECT+ RandoMix used to have a bunch of BEMANI songs, but I removed most of them to make space for many other music. However, I did keep "LA BAMBA" from MAMBO A GO GO since it sounds a little too much like the Yoshi's Story theme from Melee.
