Your bit about driving on the left and the dark narrow roads. You missed out the bit to really set the scene for people used to your wide roads - that their average speed limit is 60mph and people break it.
Oh yes. This was terrifying. I was on a fairly narrow road that wasn’t winding but wasn’t totally straight, and someone was tailgating me at 60mph until they blew past me on a straightaway. And then there were the enormous trucks that came at me like bullets down the other side of the road, at what felt like over 80mph, all the time.
