Replaying AC Valhalla:

I finished Randvi's "Taken for Granted" quest after the Lunden arc but before the Oxenefordscire arc; started planting that slow burn seed: feelings admitted, feelings put on wait, and now time to deal with Sigurd's broody "Eivor you're my oath sibling, sure, but I'll listen to Basim whispering in my ear" phase.

What I love about Randvi's side quest is that she's exactly like a fox. On the surface, she appears stoic and beautiful - always holding up appearances and duties to appease her clan and then the Raven clan. But when you let her free then suddenly she's sly, cunning, and endearing. She's in the mood to fight, she volunteers herself and Eivor to hunt down the horse-stealing bandits. She wants to have a drinking contest, she slips away and calls out to Eivor once she finds the mead. She wants one more sight so she begs Eivor for one last stop before heading home. Exactly like a fox, usually appearing in nature as majestic and regal. But once they become friendly, they are such silly creatures with so much personality.

Whether you see this quest in a romantic or platonic view, it really doesn't shock me that she would naturally develop feelings for her husband's sibling - who lives a life that she could have had. It really does make you wonder the "what-ifs". While I don't condone cheating, the developers did a great job making me want Randvi - a married woman. I usually romance her the safe way, waiting till the endgame. Maybe one day I'll go ahead and cheat because, Sigurd, you definitely do not deserve her. Styrbjorn, I know Sigurd is your son and all but the arranged marriage probably would have fared between Eivor and Randvi.
