I am ridiculously proud of how far I’ve come, the other night’s makeup practice really showed visible improvement! I clearly have things I need to work on, and I didn’t use setting spray since I’m just practicing (hence the smudged nose, thanks to my glasses), but I feel great about it! Eye shadow is also still not my friend, these are Ben Nye water palettes, but I’m determined to keep trying, and I learned I love pomade and definitely want to keep the Stamos ‘stache.

It’s not bad for someone with dyspraxia and bad eyes who never touched makeup as a teenager and is learning with their mom’s old brushes.

It’s great to feel confident in my beginner makeup skills, especially since I’ve always been very self conscious about my lack of ability. 💜

I’d been putting off really trying out the makeup for as long as possible because I’m just so self conscious of my makeup skills. I’ve got dyspraxia and bad eyesight without my glasses, so makeup is a serious challenge and I’ve just been terrified of it. I’ve done one or two attempts at this before, but my fear of failure just wouldn’t let me get as far as I wanted to go.

Last night I just did it. I waited until after midnight so I could be sure I wouldn’t be disturbed and jolted out of my headspace, put on some Electric Six, and got to work.

An hour and a half and over ten replays of Fire later, I finally found him. He’s messy, but he’s arrived.

Randy Commodore has been unleashed upon the world. Lock up your coke and your bitches. It still won’t stop him.

…now to figure out this whole makeup thing.
