चैत्र कृष्ण पंचमी यानी कि होली के पांचवें दिन देशभर में रंगपंचमी का पर्व बड़ी धूम-धाम के साथ मनाया जाता है। होली की ही तरह रंगपंचगी के दिन भी एक दूसरे के साथ रंग खेला जाता है। माना जाता है कि प्राचीनकाल में जब होली का पर्व कई दिन तक मनाया जाता था तब रंगपंचमी होली का अंतम दिन होता था और उसके बाद कोई रंग नहीं खेलता था।

Taken on Rang Panchami (27/3) @ the Empress Garden in Pune. The celebrations - by a private party who had hired the garden - began at dusk, passers by were encouraged to join. While a little colour was used, flower petals were preferred for play. This along with the setting made it quite magical. 

The ladies in the second pic were there to help with the dinner that followed. I particularly liked the pose and ease of the lady in the yellow saree.
