How to make Traditional Rangoli Designs
There are two main and fundamental methods for making a rangoli: dry and wet, which relate to the materials used to produce the outline and (if desired) paint that outline. With a white substance such as chalk, sand, paint, or flour, the artist marks a central point on the ground and cardinal points around it, usually in a rectangle, hexagon, or circle depending on the environment and personal preference and favourable. Extending the basic pattern yields an intricate and beautiful design.
