Meghalaya bypolls: Voter turnout at 7.5% after first two hours of polling in Ranikor, South Tura Assembly constituencies

Shillong: About 7.5 percent votes were cast in the first two hours in the by-elections to two Assembly constituencies in Meghalaya on Thursday amid tight security, Chief Election Officer FR Kharkongor said.
The voter turnout till 9 am was less than 5 percent in Ranikor seat, while in South Tura constituency it was a little over 10 percent, the official said.
