Saleem Ahmed is a photographer, writer, and educator based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has an MFA in photography from the Hartford Art School and a BA in photojournalism from Temple University. Since 2010, he has been involved with photographic and arts-based education projects in Bolivia. He is also an occasional contributor for The Huffington Post.
Rani Road: This photographic series is a short story narrative dedicated to the women in my family that were born and raised in Udaipur, Rajasthan. They are the current and future mothers and the backbone of my community. Rani Road examines gender roles, domestic ideology, and beauty through a combination of vernacular photography and images recently created in Udaipur.
