Laelia:
4. Name one thing that is guaranteed to make your OC laugh.
Tickling. As Laelia is blind there isn’t much she can see to make her laugh, even with using her mesmer magic, it just doesn’t have the same effect. But her sense of touch is heightened so she’s now extremely ticklish and will be a giggling goof when she’s tickled.
6. How does your OC kill time?
Usually by conjuring various things, most often animals, and making them skitter around between people’s legs.
7. What is your OC’s most valued material object?
A tome she was gifted by her mentor. It’s old, dusty, extremely heavy…but smells really good and the pages still feel crisp beneath her fingertips.
11. Does your OC prefer animals to people, vice-versa, or both?
Less of a preference and more of an ‘observation’; animals can’t ask questions about her being blind and they can generally pick up on her mood much better than most people. Laelia loves making friends but just finds it extremely difficult, hence why she would consider her snowy owl, Adrastos, her best friend.
28. Is your OC a trouble-maker, or a peace-keeper?
Peace-keeper most definitely. She can be quite shy and anxious at first, and although she can handle herself in a fight it’s much better for her when things are peaceful and calm.
34. In high-stress situations, does your OC panic, or remain calm?
When she was younger she would panic easily and get distressed, but over the years she has adjusted to her situation and now she is much calmer.
36. Is your OC easily distracted?
Laelia is usually one of the most focused individuals due to the amount of time she studied, she hates missing out on any details.
37. When your OC is feeling down, what/who keeps them going?
General reassurance and delicate touches of comfort remind her what she fights for.
45. Does your OC ever think about their future?
She used to, when she was younger and much lonelier, but now she has Tierney she doesn’t worry about it too much. She just enjoys every moment she has with him. Come what may.
50. Share a head-canon you have for one of your OC’s.
Laelia has been blind since birth.
Aranel:
1. What’s the first thing your OC thinks about when they wake up in the morning?
‘Will this drake please get off my stomach’. Her pet reef drake, Count Drekula, likes to try and sleep on her bed, usually flopping directly over her stomach and trying to lick her face.
3. Has your OC ever run away from a dangerous situation?
Aranel is the more the type to run directly into a dangerous situation, though albeit not always on purpose.
6. How does your OC kill time?
If she’s alone she’ll practice her archery or read up on the dragons. If she’s at Rory’s home and he’s busy she’ll make it her mission to find Flori and have play time.
7. What is your OC’s most valued material object?
Leather gloves passed down from her mother, they’re tough and still perfectly good to use for her own armor. Plus they fit, well, like a glove.
11. Does your OC prefer animals to people, vice-versa, or both?
If she had the option she would probably want to say “Plants” and then blush profusely. Aranel likes people and animals pretty equally, but she has always been particularly attuned to nature and the outdoors. Her home was always filled with flowers and she spent more time in the forests than she did inside.
28. Is your OC a trouble-maker, or a peace-keeper?
A bit of both. Aranel knows to be serious when it comes to Vigil matters and does what she can to be democratic. But there are times when she enjoys being silly and occasionally will cause harmless pranks to keep things entertaining.
30. Does your OC have any unusual talents or abilities?
She can lick her nose with her tongue.
37. When your OC is feeling down, what/who keeps them going?
If she’s alone it’s usually a case of napping and eating something sweet, otherwise she may just invite herself into Rory’s home and just curl up to him because his hugs makes everything okay.
45. Does your OC ever think about their future?
She tries not to, because it makes her anxious and worried, but she tries to be hopeful. If anything she’s so completely smitten with Rory she just hopes he’ll be in her life for as long as possible.
50. Share a head-canon you have for one of your OC’s.
Aranel has a habit of just touching Rory if part of him is exposed. With being a Sylvari he just feels so soft and it’s a huge comfort, she’ll idly trail her fingers over him and lean against him.
