Might be an unpopular opinion, but Ransom learned to love so intensely from how his father loved his mother. Just because Ramsey’s love for Luella was unrequited doesn’t mean it wasn’t once an intense and honest love -like Ransom’s love for Odessa. Boys learn how to love by how their father loves their mother.
So yeah I feel empathy for Ramsey’s broken heart, doesn’t mean I find his actions forgivable. Similar circumstances could’ve twisted Ransom and his love if Odessa hadn’t loved him back 🤷🏻♀️
