Talking Pictures
Talking Pictures (by ransriggs)
The most beautiful video on youtube I've seen.
**Author's Note**
This is a video made by YA author Ransom Riggs, famous for Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, in which he explains his collection of old photographs and why he loves them so much.
"Messages from another world." Riggs says about the photographs. "Each one a little mystery."
However the quote that resonated the most was the following:
"And sometimes, if you're lucky you discover that a picture that seems so ancient, so indecipherable, can talk."
This is sort of from where the original idea of this blog came (not this particular video but the sentiment). Fandom or otherwise, I truly believe that people, whatever the era, feel similar things and experience similar emotions. People, have had, currently have, and will continue to have stories to share, and some of the most poignant storytelling is done through pictures.

Awesome short film about the "post-apocalyptic hell-hole the Salton Sea."
Makes me think of Decayed Richmond, only not so much on the 'urban' part of the 'urban decay.'
I decided to write my english research paper on the past of the Salton Sea! This video by author Ransom Riggs inspired me. From his cinematography, his narration, and his writing - it's just ughmazing.
