There's this moment when someone's been dancing around an idea and trying to fit the puzzle pieces together, and they just... fit. Whether or not I'm the one who handed them that last piece, it's a wonderful moment to watch.
You know, on one hand, I don't blame Victoria for being unhappy in her relationship with Tristen. It's not easy to be a partner to someone who's going through a really deep and profound depression (I say this as someone who's been on both sides of that) but I feel like she should just break up with him if she's unhappy and doesn't like supporting him instead of being so....Like That (tm)
You know the worst thing about Vicky? She doesn't even take Tristen's 'depression' seriously.. she's genuinely such a self-absorbed idiot that she thinks he's being dramatic and/or acting like that just to piss her off. She encourages him to 'have a good time' because she thinks that's the real Triss.. the drunk/high version of him that she enjoys, and the rest of the time he's 'just being moody' to annoy her or get his own way; because that's what she does to get her way, and that's how their relationship has been from the beginning.
She's legit incapable of accepting that he's not well because ew.. she doesn't want to deal with that! So yeah.. if she doesn't wanna deal with it that's fine, 'cause being with someone who has depression is real fucking hard sometimes and she ought to find someone she can just have fun with if that's all she's capable of... But no one puts up with her like Triss does, she's got him wrapped around her finger for sure, and she doesn't want to give that up.. so she ignores it and drags him out constantly hoping that he'll 'cheer up', not realising she's making it x10 worse...
hi becca! follow me in my craziness: 10 yo leah and 10yo tilda playing with sidewalk chalk. any idea how this could turn out? 😏 thanks!
Ahaaaaaa ngl this would be kinda cute, I think they'd probably be friends as kids 🤭 there'd be a lot of bickering, but it'd be light-hearted for the most part
they'd make everything a competition though, and it'd borderline on an argument.. until tilda found someone else to bug, at which point leah would tease her right back to take the heat of whichever poor soul had been on the receiving end of tilda's rage 😅
Hi becca, i was looking for oc asks and i found this interesting question. I wonder, have you ever become an expert on something you previously knew nothing about, in order to better a scene or a story? Thanks 🙂
Ohhhh, yes! Here's a bunch of things I've looked at to make sure I at least semi know what I'm on about before I write anything lmaoo.. though I wouldn't say I'm an expert on any of it 😅
Criminal Informants - particularly the rights of any potential CI's and also this very long report 💀
Suspended prison sentences
Drug enforcement agencies and police ranks
Racketeering
Traumatic brain injuries 😬
The dangers of mixing alcohol and Xanax, plus it's long term effects
List 5 facts about a favorite sim of yours, and send this to 10 simblrs whose sims you adore ♥♥♥
(May I request not a sim but the organisation Arturo runs, I'm curious how it operates, what kind of business they run and all, and it's actually a 'character' you haven't done yet 😂)
Ohhhh.. okay okay 👀 I haven’t given a huge amount of time to the backstory of the bidness, but here are my vague ideas...
Arturo wasn’t born into this life, believe it or not! Though he’s always been quite entrepreneurial. He grew up poor and was the type of kid that probably stole his mothers’ cigarettes and sold them at school for a ridiculous mark up.
When he and Kaden/Joey’s father were in school they’d sell a bit of weed here and there on the side to make some extra cash.
Eventually, as they got older they realised there was more money in the harder drugs so they moved onto selling those instead, then started cutting it up with extra shit to make more money.. then decided to hit up the suppliers to cut out an unnecessary middle man to make more money… You can see where we’re going with this. In the end, they realised it was easier and far less dangerous for themselves if they got some runners to help ‘em out and do the selling. They’d give ‘em a cut obviously but at that point it barely mattered. And if anyone dared keep any for themselves, or conveniently come up short on cash.. well, they wouldn’t do it twice.
Over time they made quite a name for themselves, and money makes money so it only grew from there.. and here we are today.
Ahhh.. sorry this took an age to get to! ig I was just loathed to talk about Wyatt.. >.> lmaooo.. nah, ya grill is busy 💀 ANYWAY... have a rare pose wip of some actual emotion coming from the man himself, as consolation..!
🔪 KNIFE - how do they react to injury / misfortune befalling their loved ones (significant other, family, friends)? do they put themselves at blame?
He certainly wouldn’t blame himself. Even if he was to blame, he’d manage to find something or someone else at fault. I think if someone he ‘cared’ about was hurt, he’d kinda watch in morbid fascination for a lil bit, see what they do/say.. at which point they’d probs be like.. hello?! Then he’d do something. Someone he actually cares for? He’d spring into action but he wouldn’t panic, he’s pretty level headed when needs be.
👑 CROWN - what does your oc want to be remembered as? why?
Hmm.. believe it or not, he’s not very vain. I don’t think he’s bothered about being remembered. He prefers to fade into obscurity.
☁️ CLOUD - a soft headcanon
Wyatt’s scared of cats.
🌠 SHOOTING STAR - if they could make any wish with no repercussions, what wish would they make?
He’d wish he had nothing to do with the Flanagan’s.. but he’d still like to be wealthy.
I'm gonna answer these for Sidney, I do love a bit of Sid!
9. What is your character's trigger point? What makes them angry, sad or makes them go off?
She's not sad very often.. but she's quick to get angry, if she's yelled at she's definitely the type to yell right back at you. It's half the reason her and Oscar used to fight so much, because they're so similar in that regard. They'd just end up screaming at each other over something ridiculous.
She's a lot more mellow now she's older, thankfully. Still likes the last word though...
11. Do they enjoy pranks or do they hate them? Are they likely to fall for a prank?
Love's em, thinks they're hilarious. It's super hard to catch her out as well. Oscar used to try his hardest when he was a kid, she's annoyingly impossible to scare.
15. What is the first thing people notice about them?
Her eyes, since she has heterochromia. She hated it as a kid, she doesn't think about it much anymore.
tell us about your first date with your girlfriend
Our first date was in December in Amsterdam we met at Dam square and I immediately recognized her. She was so pretty and knew from that moment I saw her I will fall in love with this girl. She greeted me and told me how beautifully looking I was. I was so flattered, surprised and a bit shy all I could reply is: "uhh thanks" even though I felt the same way about her. I was just too shy to tell her. We went to Rembrandt plein and drank some Starbucks coffee, discussed our ambitions, careers and futures. We continued to Leidse plein and continued our conversation but instead of our future we discussed our past. I couldn't stop looking at her. You might say I was a bit obsessed by her. Then we went to the movies. It was the final film in the hunger games series and we both hated it. We laughed a lot about the movie and our mutual dislike for the ending bonded us further. I wanted to kiss her during the movie but those 3D glasses really messed that up. So instead of going for it I gave her a kiss on the forehead showing my affection for her. After we left the cinema I brought her home and while we were waiting for out tram to arrive it finally happened. Our first kiss. Come to think of it it all sounds like a screenwriting for a cheesy romantic christmas movie. -Ruben
